Each year, tenants must recertify that their information is correct, including their income and family composition. Annual recertifications are required by law. If you do not complete your annual recertification, or if you falsify information during this process, BHA can start the eviction process.
If you see a change in income or family composition, it’s important to report the change to BHA within 10 days. These changes can affect the rent that you pay as well as the unit size that you qualify for. To report your changes, complete the Public Housing Change of Income Form that can be found in the Policies, Procedures & Forms section of the website.
