WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any elderly, disabled or handicapped client living in a public housing community owned by the Beaumont Housing Authority.
WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
This program helps elderly and disabled clients live as independently as possible by providing services that address their medical, social and personal needs. These case management services include assistance with location of home health providers, health education, life skills, fraud prevention and other issues that generally affect the elderly and disabled.
Services available include:
- One-on-One Case Management
- Crisis Intervention
- Nutrition/Food Assistance
- Assistance with Medicaid/Medicare Issues
- Social Activities
- Basic Health Screening Services & Health Fairs
- Life Skills Workshops Including Money Management, Wills, Nutrition, Health and Other Issues Facing Our Seniors.
The Crossing
The Crossing, a senior living community for ages 55 and older, and features many amenities to ensure our clients are able to “age in place”. The property features a walking trail, a recreation room with a pool table, a ceramics studio, a library, a beauty salon and a health screening room. There is also a large community room with a full kitchen that features weekly activities.
Health Fairs
The Elderly & Disabled Services Program offers several health fairs throughout the year. Our network of partners provide basic health screening services, vaccinations and information on a variety of services and programs.
