Annual Re-certification
Each year, tenants must re-certify that their information is correct, including their income and family composition. Annual re-certifications are required by law. If you do not complete your annual re-certification, or if you falsify information during this process, BHA can start the eviction process.
Interim Re-certification
If you see a change in income or family composition, it’s important to report the change to BHA within 10 days. These changes can affect the rent that you pay as well as the unit size that you qualify for. To report your changes, complete the Housing Choice Voucher Change of Income Form that can be found in the Policies, Procedures & Forms section of the website.
