The Beaumont Housing Authority provides safe, decent and sanitary affordable housing for low and moderate income families through several programs. Between all of the programs, BHA assists over 3,000 families with affordable housing opportunities.
- Public Housing Program: BHA owns 557 public housing rental units in 8 developments as well as scattered single family homes.
- Housing Choice Voucher Program: Better known as Section 8, BHA currently assists over 1,900 families through this program.
- Mixed Finance: BHA has collaborated with private investors to build an additional 677 mixed finance units within 6 developments. These units have been funded with non-HUD dollars, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Disaster Recovery Grants and private loans.
